In 2022, the first White Day cards were released in the JP version of Project Sekai, a mobile rhythm game. There was something fascinating about these cards that caused fans to go wild and create AUs, or alternate universes, based on these cards and other fantasy adjacent ones. I was one of these fans. The cards seem to tell a story, and many have vastly different interpretations of these cards and the world the company is slowly building for us.
As I stated, I have been creating my own story based on the White Day cards since 2022. To be completely transparent for people who still are unsure, these are not my original characters (though, to some degree, they might as well be). It’s a passion project of mine that is always updating thanks to the White Day cards coming out yearly and the game itself being my special interest since 2020.
I have many ideas jotted down in random places, and … too many sketches to properly keep track of. This website url has been in my possession for about two years, but I didn’t have any idea on what to do with it design-wise until now (it used to be very ugly lol). I only started to actually share this project in May of 2025 on tumblr! I’m very new to all of this. BADDOGS serves as a way to keep these ideas organized together in a way that is both creative and fun for me.
Now that That is over with, onto the next introduction. Which will address what the actual AU will entail....
This is an ongoing AU that will be constantly updating. As each White Day set is released, the lore will update, or change as I see fit. The only characters that, as of 2026, do not have an official White Day card are as follows: Luka, Haruka, Shizuku, An, and Nene.
I've been jokingly calling this AU the shinosibs fau aka Shinonome Siblings Fantasy AU because of how much focus is not only put on them, but the other siblings of the PRSK Universe. In general, there is a heavy, heavy emphasis on family dynamics.
As of now, no romantic pairings will be officially canon. There will definitely be implied pairings, and implied sexuality/gender stuff, but it'll be subtle enough to ignore if you really and truly have an issue with it. This rule is absolutely subject to change since yknow. this AU is for me to enjoy... I'm the target audience... and for fun i guess, but for the time being, please don't ask about romance. I know it will never be a major focus unless it drives the story forward.
I am going to attempt to give each character their time to shine. This means there will be lots of shifting perspectives and opinions, but is that not the fun in these AUs? The exploration of how a character would act if put in a different scenario than they're canonically in? Even saying this, yes there is an overarching story that will be followed. Even if a character is not a 'main' character, they definitely have a part in this story.
What's the actual goal of this? I said before, to have fun, but storywise, its to explore how these characters would act in a fantasy setting. Some characters loosely follow the goals they aim for in canon, while others are completely disconnected from their canon goal. With that said, I still am attempting to mimic and twist their canon selves into this AU. My biggest pet peeve when it comes to AUs are when characters don't seem even remotely connected to their canon selves. They genuinely end up different people. I'm trying to avoid that.
I want to also briefly mention that there will be no trigger warnings unless something has flashing colors. My general ratings and warnings would be teen and up. Gore, blood, and the like is to be expected in a fantasy setting revolving around a war and political issues.
